Consists of photographs and ephemera from the beginning part of Mr. and Mrs. Staubach's world cruise aboard the S.S. RESOLUTE of the Hamburg-American Line, which left New York City on January 6, 1930, crossing the Atlantic and visiting Madeira, Gibraltar, and the Mediterranean, including Athens, Greece.

Buddington on voyage from 21 Sept.-21 Dec. 1855; Captain Buddington, commander of bark George Henry on her arctic voyage 1855-1856, found the HMS Resolute (abandoned by a crew in search of the Franklin expedition); Buddington freed the icebound vessel and returned to New London, Conn.; ship was later sent back to Queen Victoria as a gift; dismantled ca. 1878.
